Raleigh Trevelyan (born 1923) is an author and editor. A member of the Trevelyan family, he was born in Andaman Islands, he moved to England when he was eight years old, and now resides in both London and Cornwall. In 1956 he published his classic book 'The Fortress', an account of the Battle of Anzio and the closing stages of the Second World War in Italy, and one of the best books about warfare in the 1940s.
